Client-Side Quiz Scoring
Both the Kink Test and BDSM Test are scored entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. While taking a quiz, your progress is kept in temporary browser session storage and cleared when you finish or close the tab. Your individual answers are never transmitted to our servers, never stored in a database, and never sold.
BDSM Checklist & Local Storage
Your BDSM checklist selections, custom items, and category preferences are saved exclusively in your device's local storage. This allows your selections to persist between visits without requiring an account. Checklist data is never uploaded to our servers, included in URLs, or sent to third parties.
Result & Comparison Links
When you complete a test, your scores are encoded directly into the URL parameter rather than saved in an account or database. If you share a result or comparison link, anyone holding that link can view the scores embedded within it. Because this data exists only in the URL, shared links cannot be centrally revoked.
Cookieless Anonymous Analytics
We use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics (Plausible) to monitor aggregated traffic trends (such as page visits and test completion rates). Analytics events do not contain personal identifiers, individual answers, result codes, or partner comparison data.
Third-Party Advertising
Selected public informational pages may display advertisements served by third-party ad networks (such as Adsterra). Advertisements are never displayed while you are actively taking a test or on result/comparison screens. Third-party ad providers may process standard browser request data subject to their respective privacy policies.
Your Control & 18+ Requirement
You maintain complete control over your data. You can clear your checklist directly in the tool or purge local and session storage through your browser settings at any time. Our service is strictly designed for adults aged 18 and older; we do not intentionally collect data from minors.
